IT Infrastructure Assistant Manager – UAE National
Job Purpose
A Government Entity based in Abu Dhabi is currently looking for someone who will be responsible to assess, configure, and maintain technological infrastructure systems to ensure they meet the CLIENT’s organization and business needs. Evaluate existing systems and determine ways to better align those systems to support business operations for increased efficiency. Oversee the installation, integration, and maintenance of equipment and programs and provide ongoing tech support.
Daily Operations
- Assist with developing an infrastructure plan that will continue to accommodate the organization’s future needs.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to design, install, implement and maintain current and future software, systems, infrastructure and operations.
- Conduct technical evaluations, fine-tuning and configuration of information technology infrastructure and high availability technologies and ensure their availability and reliability.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as an Administrator for IT systems and support the day to day running of IT Operations.
- Maintains systems configuration; ensure the installation and integration of system patches, updates, and enhancements; ensure the adherence of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices.
- Participate in aspects of capacity planning to ensure the availability of services, aligned to the CLIENT’s strategy.
- Manage and monitor a defined level of services offered.
- Contribute to the design and documentation of IT solutions to meet defined needs.
- Manage or Participate in projects related to IT operations, infrastructure, network and security.
- Monitoring the performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability of installed systems to ensure that it meets business objectives
- Assist with Problem Management, Change Management and Configuration Management assignments.
- Ensure that systems are configured and aligned with the organisation Information Security Policies.
- Monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity
- Manage any changes to the IT infrastructure system according to the Change Management Policies.
- Maintain and update necessary documentation of system infrastructure components.
- Should adhere to EHS regulations & procedures, care for safe working place, and to
report EHS hazards, incidents.
Qualifications / Experience Required
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or IT
- Recognized certification of Data Centre international standards and best practice / Microsoft Certifications / Linux Certifications
- experience of working with IT Systems, Operating system, hardware storage, networking etc.
- Extensive knowledge of Storage system, Hardware, Microsoft operating systems, SQL database products, IIS Server and Exchange Server
- Experience with Office 365 Administration
