Legal Advisor

Job Purpose

Our client, a renowned financial entity, is looking to expand their Legal Team by hiring a Legal Advisor who will be responsible for protecting the firm’s legal interests across all regions of operation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the banking and financial services industry, exhibiting the ability to handle litigations while aligning with the client’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • The Legal Advisor provides guidance and counsel to internal stakeholders on a broad range of legal matters including contracts, intellectual property, employment law, etc. and ensures the clients’ compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Draft and review legal documents and negotiate international financial contracts, agreements, policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws while protecting the organizations interests.

  • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

  • Conducting research and staying updated on changes in relevant laws and industry standards.

  • Represent the organization in legal proceedings involving the organization, gather evidence and draft legal documents, and represent the firm in negotiations, arbitrations and court hearings.

  • Develop legal training programs to spread awareness of legal obligations and best practices to minimize legal risks and promote compliance throughout the organization.

Qualifications Required
  • 10 – 15 years of relevant experience in Legal, Compliance or Litigation roles.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in leadership positions as Head of Legal within financial institutions.

  • Strong leadership skills and Arabic language proficiency.
