Investment Director
Job Purpose
A leading financial institution in Abu Dhabi is looking for an Investment Director who is responsible for managing the overall performance of the portfolio and provide expertise in due diligence, project selection and creating a framework to ensure effective portfolio management.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance to the team with regards to investment selection and structuring
- Developing and refining the strategy for the Investments team taking into consideration the market trends and investment objectives.
- Ensure that the funds are properly allocated to various projects aligning with the priorities of the firm, thereby optimizing the portfolio performance.
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis of industries and market trends to identify investment opportunities and assess potential risks.
- Maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders to understand their investment goals and ensuring maximum returns from the investments.
- Assess investment performance by regularly monitoring the portfolio performance and preparing reports for the stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies and staying updated on the regulatory changes that may impact the investment activities.
- Liaising with the different departments such as risk management, legal and compliance.
Qualifications Required
- 12- 15 years of significant relevant experience within a portfolio management or investment banking role.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or business administration. Advanced degrees such as an MBA or a Masters Degree is beneficial.
- Qualifications such as CA, ACA, CFA are preferred but not a must.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate investment opportunities & analyzing financial statements.
- Strong leadership skills and Arabic language proficiency.
