Chief Information Security Officer – UAE NATIONAL
Job Purpose
A Government entity in Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit a Chief Information Security Officer who will be responsible for developing and managing information security policies & strategy to protect the Client from security threats and cyber-attacks and ensuring operational compliance with all standards and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify strategic initiatives for the Information Security function and contribute to the overall strategic initiatives for the function aligned to the Organization Strategy
- Drive the strategic initiatives for the sub-function.
- Prepare and monitor adherence to the budget for the sub-function.
- Identify and drive cost optimisation initiatives for the sub-function
- Define strategic and operational KPIs for the division
- Analyse deviations and take corrective course of action
- Ensure the Teams and team members adhere to the set SLA
- Develop and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information / cyber security risk management program (including strategy, policies, standards, processes, and guidelines) to ensure protection of digital and data assets
- Implement and lead the strategy for managing and reporting security incidents and oversee investigations of reported security breaches
- Identify, manage, and minimize information security risks, and provide relevant and timely reports that drive business decisions
- Report regularly on current status of the information security program
- Monitor and maintain application user access across the IT portfolio
- Follow-up on detected security issues and implement solutions to mitigate risks
Qualifications / Experience Required
- 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in Information Security
- Bachelor’s Degree in information security or IT related
- Master’s degree in information security or IT Related is preffered.
- Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CERT, CISSP, GSEC, CCSP, GIAS, CEH or OCSP
- Proven experience in information security, with progressively increasing responsibilities and leadership roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts
- Leadership qualities, including strategic thinking, decision-making, and team-building skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and innovation.
