Data Quality – UAE National
Job Purpose
A Government Entity in Abu Dhabi is looking for someone for the role of Data Quality will be responsible for strengthening the Data Management practice within the department. The role will help execute the data governance framework mainly data quality , metadata management , reporting
Job Responsibilities
- Support the data management unit in the implementation of the data governance framework , policies and procedures
- Perform data profiling and quality assessment
- Coordinate the data remediation/quality activities with data stewards/champions ( Business & IT)
- Monitor and analyze the data quality of production systems.
- Develop DQ KPI’s monitoring dashboards
- Maintain the data governance artefacts e.g. Metadata repository , DQ rules , ..etc
- Support the data governance program implementation , data quality , metadata , documentation, training, communications and compliance tracking
- Report on a regular basis to the line Manager on operational activities, challenges, hurdles and methods of resolution or mitigation etc..
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, software engineering , Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, or another equivalent field
- Certification in data management or data governance like DAMA is highly preferred.
Experience
- At least 4+ years of experience in implementation of data governance frameworks and data management best practices
- Experience in data governance and data management best practices
- Strong understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with SQL database design e.g. Microsoft SQL server
- Technical expertise with data models and data analysis techniques
- Experience with data cleansing, standardization, and enrichment techniques.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Basic Project management and organizational skill.
